Veda healing Spa: So Much More

Upon entering Veda Healing Spa, you are warmly greeted by owner Harpreet Kaur. Essential oils permeate the air to sooth your mind and then it’s time to ease into a bed that’s the perfect temperature and comfort for total relaxation. In addition to your face and neck area getting a customized skin treatment with the most fabulous high-end skincare products, Harpreet also relaxes your mind with therapeutic breathing techniques. When you walk out of the spa, not only is your skin refreshed, so is your body and mind.

I sat down recently for an interview with Harpreet to learn more about her business:

Harpreet Kaur | Owner, Veda Healing Spa

Veda Spa Healing Room

What was your inspiration for starting Veda Healing Spa?

My inspiration came from my roots in Ayurveda. I grew up in India practicing spiritual and energy healing rituals such as self-massage with warm oils and even ghee, eating mindfully, and giving my skin lots of love and nourishment! I learned the power of these spiritual and energy healing rituals when I went through a very difficult time after my father's passing which made me go even deeper into learning about energy healing. These energy healing practices showed me that the energy of the mind is real, and we can use our energy to heal ourselves from any situation.

The moment I felt the transformation of my energy, I knew that I wanted to create a space of the best energy and give my clients the most nurturing, healing touch in my skincare treatments. So with my love of Ayurveda since childhood and my ongoing healing journey was born Veda Healing Spa, where the focus is on my clients and giving them a beautiful, relaxing, and healing experience from the moment they walk in.

What is your favorite aspect of your business?

I love that I get to teach my amazing clients the beauty of bringing in a self-love, self-care routine into their life because in addition to the right skincare products for their skin type, there is also self-love! I love when my clients successfully bring in a self-care and self-love routine as a part of their overall wellness, and that is when I feel aligned with my mission at Veda Healing Spa. It is so rewarding to see a positive change in someone's life.

Please tell us more about your holistic approach at Veda Healing Spa.

My holistic approach at Veda Healing Spa is largely based on the Ayurveda principle that skin is considered a manifestation of inner health. Good Inner health is a balance of two things, eating nourishing food with good hydration, and another is your thoughts and what you put your attention on. I focus on slowing down one's thoughts and shifting their attention from the outside world to their inner being by massaging facial energy points (marma points in ayurveda), which relaxes your breath. Once your breath is relaxed, your mind and body follow, and this is when you can recognize dark or negative energy and transform it into your desired energy of self love, happiness, joy, peace. So balancing inner energy by relaxing one's breath is the key to relaxed facial muscles, and that lessens stress on the skin bringing down aging signs (wrinkles, fine lines) and dull skin.

And as a holistic master esthetician, I customize each facial along with a skincare treatment and product plan to maintain and nurture your skin type and slow down the aging process on the skin. Another thing that I take pride in is always keeping up with the best upcoming skincare products and techniques to bring to my clients for the best results on their skin.

I understand you went back to school, what are you studying?

I am learning principles of Ayurvedic medicine and becoming an Ayurvedic Health Counselor. I am studying how the five elements of earth, ether, water, air, fire reside in all of us and how we can heal ourselves by balancing these elements in us. I am so excited to bring more healing services at Veda Healing Spa when certified as an Ayurvedic Health Counselor.

Do you use crystals, could you elaborate?

Yes, I do use crystals in my customized energy healing sessions because crystals are related to Mother Earth and every crystal has its own beautiful meaning and healing properties and when used with daily affirmations it can help transform dark energy to beautiful positive energy.

Anything else you’d like to share with us.

I would love to share that Veda Healing Spa is a client-centered business, and I am obsessed with my customers' needs and goals for their skin. I like to stay closely connected to all my clients, and as a small business owner, I am grateful that I can follow each of my client's skincare journeys to a healthy skin lifestyle and see their progress which is so exciting!
